Mary Kate + Alan - Ireland Destination Wedding

For longer than we can remember, Ireland has been the place that anchored Sarah and I to each other. This far-off, magical land that was calling us, though we didn’t know why. It was the “One Day” in the “one day we’ll get there….” In some strange turn of events, we’ve now been lucky enough to travel there 6 times, photographing 5 different intimate weddings, destination elopements, and a whole lot of travel along the way.

A challenge that comes with being international wedding photographers, is you never quite know what you’re going to stumble into when you get off the plane, never quite know who you’re going to meet. It’s always a risk, and for us, it’s always paid off.

Mary Kate and Alan were, without a shadow of a doubt, the kindest people we could have possibly imagined working with, and now calling friends. Their wedding, a beautiful mixture of traditional Irish elements and American celebration, was held at the stunning Crover House Hotel in County Cavan, right on Loch Sheelin and surrounded by miles and miles of those famous shades of Ireland Green.

The venue was perfect, the couple was breathtaking, the love between them was obvious and simple and gentle in a way we always hope for.

We’re always hoping to come back, especially for love like this, to take wedding photographs like these. I hope, if you are ever even toying with the idea of an Ireland Elopement, you’ll come to us, and you’ll let us help you plan it. Trust me, we’ve seen every mile of that stunning Isle.

Here are some of our favorites from their day, and once again, THANK YOU, to Mary Kate and to Alan, for just being the warmest people we could be so lucky to call new friends. Here’s to your future, here’s to all we shared:
